Overview:
The Option III Business
Management Department introduces students to many facets of
computer-based technology. Business students focus on learning to communicate using word processing,
spreadsheets, database software, and graphics presentations.
Students will also design and produce Web pages and explore
the use of the Internet as an office tool. Some
assignments include working in teams since this is
a vital skill for business careers. The skills taught in
Business Management are essential for students who want to succeed in an ever changing, interactive business world.

Option III's Business Management Department uses Microsoft
applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher,
FrontPage, and Access. Students may study toward earning
locally designed or Microsoft Office User Specialist
certifications.

Management Department provides on-the-job training for
students who express an interest in practicing management skills.
Students manage and run a concession/snack shop, a
monogramming/embroidery shop, and an auto detail/car wash.
The business students are also responsible for school-wide
cleaning duties.

Career Interests
Option III's business
students also explore careers through short courses. The
short courses may include food technology and safe handling,
A+ computer repair, lawn care, and small engine repair.
